We are back and excited to read new stories!

Thank you all for your entries! Parents, guardians, teachers, librarians, everyone, a heartfelt thank you to all of you for your efforts in supporting the children in our community!

The submission period is closed for this year. Please allow us until April 19th to find all entries on the website.

The Writers Showcase celebration will be on May 11th at the Austin PBS’s Austin Media Center. Stay tuned for more information so you can come and celebrate with everyone!

The Austin PBS KIDS Writers Showcase promotes children’s literacy and art through hands-on, active learning. Children in the Austin PBS viewing area can write and illustrate original stories, then submit them to Austin PBS. All entries are published on this website and the top stories from each grade level will be selected by independent judges. We will celebrate the winners and all the children who entered the contest on Saturday, May 11th, 2024. The children will read their stories to their family and friends.
